SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS 1999 SCHEDULE

Congrats to the Arizona Diamondbacks and former Giant Matty Williams for winning the National League West. At least the Dodgers didn't win the west.

The Giants in 1999 faced their share of injuries, including losing Barry Bonds for 42 games and missing Jeff Kent for a spell as well. But the part of the season that probably hurt the Giants' chances the most was the poor play following the All-Star Break. Had the team played better at that time, we might be looking at post-season play.

Candlestick is done as a baseball venue now and in 2000, the Giants will move downtown to Pacific Bell Park on the China Basin waterfront...
